This page explains, in plain terms, what Profyce is and how it is paid. It applies to every page and phone number on profyce.com.
Profyce is a referral service
Profyce is not a plumbing company, a restoration company or a contractor of any kind. We do not perform the work described on this site, we hold no trade license, and we are not licensed, insured or bonded as a contractor. The company that answers your call is an independent business with its own license, insurance, pricing and terms.
The phone numbers are tracking numbers
Each number on this site forwards to an independent provider that has agreed to take calls in that area. Calls may be recorded or monitored by the call-routing network for quality and billing. By calling, you consent to that recording where the law allows it.
How Profyce is paid
Profyce receives a payment from the call-routing network or the service provider when a qualified call comes through this site. The payment is for the referral only. It is not added to your bill, it does not change the provider’s price, and you never pay Profyce anything.
What a referral does not mean
- It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of the provider’s work, pricing, timing or conduct.
- It is not a quote. Only the provider can quote the job, and prices on this site are general national ranges, not offers.
- It is not a promise that someone will be available at a given hour.
Check the license yourself
Any plumbing contractor in North Carolina must be licensed by the State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. You can look up a license at public.nclicensing.org. Ask the provider for their license number before work begins.
Problems with a provider
Tell the provider first. If that fails, you can tell us through the contact page and we can stop routing calls to that company. Complaints about licensed plumbers go to the State Board linked above.
